Project Scope of Work

In the summer of 2024, Schwickert’s completed an extensive project at Riverland Community College in Austin, MN. The roofing portion of the job required removal of an aging ballasted EPDM roof down to the deck. The team then installed the built-up roof system using GAF materials. The installation for the roof included a nail base, a two-ply vapor barrier, dual layers of 2-inch ISO insulation, a cover board, and a four-ply system topped with flood and gravel. The work covered 54,200 square feet.

The Architectural Metals team installed standing seam panels around the roof’s perimeter and flush panels at the penthouse and soffits. Additionally, the team carefully fitted 8,000 linear feet of flashing to create a seamless finish and to protect against the elements.

Despite facing 20+ rain days during the project’s three-month schedule, the team remained committed to meeting deadlines. The crew extended work hours to Saturdays and Sundays. Their hard work and flexibility showcased Schwickert’s commitment to quality.
