In 2020, Dodge County hired Schwickert’s to complete a reroof and heat tape-heat mesh installation on the Dodge County Courthouse, which is one of Mantorville’s (MN) most historic buildings. The courthouse sits parallel with one of the most used roads in town, and is also part of the county complex that also houses its annex.
The Schwickert’s roofing team started by removing the existing asphalt roofing system. They then installed heat tape and heat mesh, which will aid in protecting the roof from future damage caused by snow and ice dams. Lastly, Schwickert’s installed membrane and CertainTeed Northgate shingles.
The Dodge County Courthouse and complex remained open for the duration of the job. For this reason, Schwickert’s Project Manager worked closely with the county on executing a secure safety plan for its staff and the public.
Schwickert’s was also working on the Dodge County Annex roofing project as this project was taking place.
