Blooming Prairie High Schools

In 2021, voters in the Blooming Prairie School District approved a $34 million bond referendum for additions and improvements to the elementary and junior/senior highschool buildings, as well as a new highschool gymnasium.

As roofing contractor, Schwickert’s was tasked with completing the roofs on three separate additions being the classrooms, gymnasiums and the auditorium. Schwickert’s project team partnered with the general contractor and owners on staging and material handling logistics to ensure a safe and clean workspace for all trades.

Schwickert’s roofing crew installed R30 roof insulation with flat and sloped roof decks, some of which were mechanically fastened and low-rise concrete and metal roof decks. Schwickert’s ultimately installed a Carlisle 90 mil black EPDM roof system complete with a 30-year Carlisle EPDM Adhered warranty.
