Avani Living

The Avani Living development is an urban twist with contemporary architecture in the heart of Rochester, Minnesota. Within easy walking distance to St. Mary’s Hospital, bike paths and public transportation, Avani Living, built in 2018, boasts a parallel with the active lifestyle alongside an everyday escape to relaxation.

As roofing contractor, Schwickert’s Tecta America installed an EPDM Ballast roof system and a waterproofing & paver system on multiple levels of the new five-story mixed-use complex including a grocery store, coffee shop, apartment units and a rooftop terrace for its tenants.

At the highest point of the building, Schwickert’s installed a Carlisle EPDM Ballast roof system, which also reached individual apartment patios on the north and east zones.

Schwickert’s then installed a waterproof system covered by 1,700 patio pavers expressing various colors and patterns to be used for outdoor relaxation on the roof top terrace. The team also installed a wooden yoga deck in the community space on the patio at Avani Living.
