Terms and Conditions for the “Community Heroes” Nomination Process
Introduction
By participating in the “Community Heroes” nomination process, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms govern the submission, review, and selection process for nominees. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in disqualification.
Eligibility
To be eligible for nomination, the nominee must:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Must reside within 15 miles of Schwickert’s Tecta America’s office in Mankato, MN (330 Poplar Street).
- Have demonstrated an extraordinary act of service that positively impacts the community beyond their normal job responsibilities.
- Have no history of conduct that would reflect negatively on the program, Schwickert’s Tecta America, or its partners.
- Not be an employee, family member, or affiliate of Schwickert’s Tecta America.
Nomination Process
- Nominations must be submitted through the official form provided by Schwickert’s Tecta America.
- Nominators must provide accurate and truthful information about the nominee and their contributions.
- Incomplete, falsified, or misleading nominations will be disqualified.
- Each nominator may submit only one nomination per calendar year.
Selection and Approval
- Nominations will be reviewed by Schwickert’s Tecta America and may also be subject to approval by program sponsors.
- A background check (such as a Google search, Better Business Bureau check, or criminal record review) may be conducted to verify nominee eligibility.
- The final selection is at the sole discretion of Schwickert’s Tecta America and its review panel.
- Schwickert’s Tecta America reserves the right to reject or revoke a nomination if the nominee’s background or behavior is deemed inconsistent with the values of the program.
Equipment Installation Eligibility
- The selected Community Hero may receive a new furnace installation, subject to the necessary scope of work, site conditions, and system requirements.
- Final eligibility for the furnace installation is contingent upon a site visit by Schwickert’s Tecta America to determine feasibility, required modifications, and any additional work necessary.
- Any inclusions or exclusions will be outlined following the site visit, and installation will proceed only if all parties agree.
Publicity and Marketing Release
- By accepting the award, the nominee agrees to participate in media coverage and promotional activities, including but not limited to:
- Interviews, press releases, photos, and videos for use on Schwickert’s Tecta America’s website, social media, and other marketing efforts.
- Potential inclusion in local or national news media.
- Nominators and nominees agree to allow Schwickert’s Tecta America to use submitted content (stories, photos, videos, etc.) for promotional purposes.
- If a nominee does not wish to participate in marketing, they will not be eligible for the program.
Liability and Disclaimers
Schwickert’s Tecta America is not responsible for any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from participation in this program.
Participation in the program does not constitute an endorsement of any individual, organization, or cause.
Modifications to Terms
Schwickert’s Tecta America reserves the right to modify or update these terms at any time. Continued participation in the nomination process implies acceptance of any changes.
