Older shingles tend to cup as they dry out and age. The new layer of roofing will follow the contour of the existing shingles which may cause your new roof to look bumpy or uneven. But the estimator will not be able to inspect the roof deck for heat damage, rot or loose decking. The wood can be inspected from the attic for broken boards or water damage, but loose decking cannot be determined without removing the shingles and existing tar paper. In general, removing the existing layer or roofing will add about $2,000.00 to the cost of the roof replacement for a typical Minnesota home. When
are the roofing materials delivered and
will they block my driveway or garage? We ask that you keep the driveway clear or vehicles on the day of delivery and also while the work is being performed. Do
